Hi there! My name is Michelle MacInnis, and I’m a freelance Vancouver digital artist and designer. My work has spanned many platforms: web, print, television, and film.

My most recent full-time position was with Astral Media in Toronto. I was there for five years, and worked with The Family Channel, Disney Jr., Disney XD, HBO Canada, and The Movie Network. When I was there I worked closely with our art director and marketing department.

I’ve also worked at a variety of smaller, boutique design shops, including Barbershop Films, Cuppa Coffee Animation, Headgear, MELD, and Trace. Quite often, I’ve worked directly with clients, including advertising agencies.

I also worked for film and television special effects houses IMAX and GVFX. Once upon a time, I was also the in-house graphic designer and illustrator at Chapters Online.

I work primarily in Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and InDesign. I’m familiar with Sketch and Cinema 4D. I’ve also used Flash, Dreamweaver, Flint/Flame, Shake and Nuke, Avid, 3D Studio Max and Maya.

My home base is now Vancouver, Canada.

Please note that I’m a non-recovering chipaholic who will sometimes work for potato chips, but only if they’re plain ripple. Dip would be considered a bonus.

If you’re interested in working with me, need more info, or just want to say hello, I’d love to hear from you!
